CATALINA PARDO

Driven to create images about the experience of being; the stillness, the nauseating existence and the sense of absurdity. My paintings are triggered by the sense of colors in different atmospheres within my memories. The distortion of bodies and spaces reflect this incongruity of existence, the nonsense that hinders the body. In my work, painting wants to be a means of expression to de-construct and reconstruct my own sensations. 

Me encuentro impulsada a crear imágenes sobre el ser, la quietud, lo nauseabundo de existir y la sensación de lo absurdo. La distorsión de cuerpos y espacios reflejan esa incongruencia del existir, el sin sentido que entorpece el cuerpo. En mi obra la pintura quiere ser un medio de expresión para de-construir y reconstruir la sensación.
